Owner and artist since 2017, Steve opened The Black Rose in 2020 to build a studio where every client feels treated like family. He specializes in black & grey, color, and hyper realism, fine line, and floral work, with pieces designed to tell your story and last a lifetime.

Every project starts with a consultation. We discuss your idea, references, placement, and meaning, then design original artwork around your anatomy. Nothing is copied or pulled from flash. Your piece is drawn for you alone.
Both. Walk-ins are welcome for smaller pieces and piercings when an artist is available. For custom and large-scale work, we recommend booking a consultation so we can give your project the time it deserves.
Pricing reflects size, detail, placement, and the time a piece requires. After your consultation we'll provide a clear estimate. Custom work is an investment in something permanent. We price it honestly, never by the hour alone.
A valid government-issued photo ID is required. Come well-rested and hydrated, eat beforehand, and wear comfortable clothing that gives easy access to the area being tattooed.
Yes. Ear, nose, septum, lip, and eyebrow piercings, performed with clean technique and quality jewelry in the same professional studio environment.
You'll leave with detailed, personalized aftercare instructions and our ongoing support. Keep it clean, moisturized, and out of direct sun, and reach out any time during the heal if you have questions.
